Engineer A.M.P.C.T. Bandara officially assumed duties as the new Chairman of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB)

Mr. Bandara brings with him a wealth of knowledge and experience in the engineering field, having served in multiple institutions within the private construction sector. His career has spanned both technical and administrative roles, underlining his versatility and leadership capabilities.

In addition to his engineering background, Mr. Bandara has also played a key role in public service, previously functioning as the Private Secretary to the Minister of Urban Development, Housing, and Construction. His experience in government affairs is expected to complement his technical expertise in guiding the NWSDB forward.

The NWSDB, which plays a vital role in ensuring clean and safe water supply and efficient drainage systems across the country, anticipates strengthened leadership under Mr. Bandara’s stewardship.
