Today marks the fourth day of the National Environment Week

As part of the day's events, the habitat of the endangered fish species known as the 'Bandula Pethiya' is being declared a conservation area.

According to the Ministry of Environment, this decision is being implemented under the series of special programs conducted in observance of today’s Biodiversity Conservation Day.

The related event is scheduled to be held today (02nd) in the Galapitamada area, under the patronage of Deputy Minister of Environment, Mr. Anton Jayakody.
