An attempt by two individuals who arrived on a motorcycle to shoot another person in the Panadura – Walana, Gemunu Mawatha area has failed.
The police stated that the attempted shooting was unsuccessful due to the firearm, which was a pistol-type weapon, malfunctioning and not firing.
It is further revealed through ongoing investigations that the suspects had targeted a drug dealer named Chathu from the Panadura – Kattassa area.
After the failed attempt, the suspects reportedly fled the scene.
