Former senior Lecturer Attanayake M. Herath Passes Away

 Mr . Herath was widely known for his dedication to the field of Sinhala language and literature. Over the course of his academic career, he played a pivotal role in shaping the curriculum and mentoring generations of students. His scholarly work and passion for the Sinhala language left a lasting impact on the university and the broader academic community.

Colleagues and students alike remember him not only for his academic contributions but also for his humility, integrity, and commitment to education. Many of his former students have gone on to become educators and researchers, continuing his legacy in the field.

The University of Peradeniya has expressed its condolences to the family, honoring his many years of service and his invaluable contributions to Sinhala education.
