Businessman arrested after firing a weapon in to the air

A businessman who fired his firearm into the air in front of a restaurant in the Thaladuwa area of Negombo has been arrested.

Police said that the shooting occurred as a result of an argument between two former students of the same school.

They are both businessmen.Police say one of them had previously legally acquired a firearm.

Following the shooting, a fight broke out between the two.

The businessman who shot into the air has been arrested.
