
Kalinga Kumarage wins bronze in Men’s 400m at Asian Athletics Championships

Sri Lankan sprinter Kalinga Kumarage secured a podium finish at the 26th Asian Athletics Championships, claiming the bronze medal in the Men’s 400m final held at the Gumi Civic Stadium in South Korea.
Kumarage delivered a strong performance, clocking an impressive time of 45.55 seconds to finish third in the fiercely contested race. The gold medal was won by an athlete from Qatar, while the silver went to a competitor from Japan.
This achievement marks a significant milestone in Kumarage’s career and adds to Sri Lanka’s growing presence in Asian track and field events. His consistent pace and determination in the final stretch helped him edge past strong contenders to secure a spot on the podium.
