The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings for parts of Galle, Kalutara, Kandy, and Kegalle districts, effective until 10:00 p.m. tomorrow (May 28). A Level 1 (Yellow) alert has been issued due to continued heavy rainfall.
Affected areas include Elpitiya in Galle, Palindanuwara in Kalutara, Ganga Ihala Korale and Pasbage Korale in Kandy, and Bulathkohupitiya, Ruwanwella, Aranayake, and Yatiyanthota in Kegalle. Residents are urged to remain alert and take necessary precautions.
