Former cricketer Shehan Madushanka detained over Heroin possession

 The order, issued on Sunday (May 26), allows law enforcement authorities to detain Madushanka for questioning until June 1. The arrest was made by the Pannala Police, who reportedly discovered the narcotics in Madushanka’s possession during a routine operation.

The 30-year-old fast bowler made headlines in 2018 after becoming the fourth bowler in history to claim a hat-trick on ODI debut. However, his cricketing career has been marked by sporadic appearances since then.

Authorities have not yet disclosed the exact quantity of heroin seized or whether further arrests are expected in connection with the case.
