Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe is scheduled to appear before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) today at 9:30 a.m.
He has been summoned to record a statement in connection with an alleged corruption case linked to the tenure of Chamara Sampath Dassanayake, the former Chief Minister of the Uva Province, who is currently in remand. The investigation pertains to incidents that occurred during Dassanayake's time in office.
