Top island ranks announced for 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination

The Department of Examinations has officially released the names of the students who have achieved the highest results in the country at the 2024 G.C.E. Advanced Level examination across the main academic streams.
Lesandu Ransara Kumarage of Bandaranayake College, Gampaha, has emerged as the island’s top performer in the Mathematics stream. In the Biological Science stream, Sandithi Nimhari Hegodaarachchi of Maliyadeva Girls’ College, Kurunegala, has secured the highest rank. Meanwhile, Amasha Dulari Perera of Visakha Vidyalaya, Colombo, has claimed the top position in the Commerce stream.
These exceptional achievements highlight the dedication and academic excellence of the students and the support provided by their respective schools.
