Malima Diving Club, a member of the Malima Hospitality Service of the Sri Lanka Navy, and the Navy Diving Unit have successfully organized an underwater Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration in the Trincomalee waters, the first of its kind in the history of the Navy.
Accordingly, it is stated that this Underwater New Year festival, organized with the aim of bringing a new experience to the Sri Lankan people and promoting diving, successfully carried out cultural elements including symbolic cooking and folk games.
