Mr. Chandana Suriyabandara has been appointed as the Presidential Media Advisor, while Mr. Anuruddha Lokuhapuarachchi has been named the Director of International Media and Strategic Communications in the Presidential Media Division.

Both gentlemen received their official appointment letters from Dr. Nandika Sanath Kumanayake, Secretary to the President, during a ceremony held at the Presidential Secretariat this afternoon.

Chandana Suriyabandara, a veteran journalist with over 30 years of experience in Sri Lanka's media sector, is widely respected for his excellent communication skills and deep understanding of the media landscape. Known for his engaging style, Suriyabandara has garnered admiration for his solid knowledge and significant contributions to the industry. He is also an accomplished writer.

Anuruddha Lokuhapuarachchi, a trailblazer in local media photography, has revolutionized journalism in Sri Lanka by introducing digital photography. With nearly two decades of experience working for the international news service Reuters, Lokuhapuarachchi is an honors graduate in photography and digital photography. His remarkable expertise in visual journalism has made a lasting impact on the industry.

The appointments of these distinguished professionals are expected to strengthen the Presidential Media Division and further elevate the communication strategies of the Sri Lankan government.
