Vietnam is committed to further developing the cooperation and friendship between Sri Lanka and Vietnam, and is ready to share its experiences in achieving Sri Lanka's economic growth objectives, stated Vietnam's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bui Thanh Son.

He made this statement during a meeting with President Anura Kumar Dissanayake on the sidelines of the 2025 World Government Summit held in the United Arab Emirates on the 12th.

During the meeting, discussions were held on continuing to develop the long-standing political trust, friendship, and cooperation that has existed between Sri Lanka and Vietnam for the past 55 years in a positive direction. 

President Anura Kumar Dissanayake emphasized that there is ample opportunity for both countries to enhance their long-term economic cooperation. He also invited Vietnamese investors to invest in Sri Lanka, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, education, religion, culture, tourism, and air services.
