Sri Lankan President Anura Kumara Dissanayake is set to depart today, February 10, for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to participate in the 2025 World Government Summit, which will take place from February 10 to 13.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment, and Tourism confirmed that the visit is taking place at the invitation of UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. During his time in the UAE, President Dissanayake is scheduled to address the World Government Summit, a prominent international platform that gathers leaders, policymakers, and experts from around the world.

In addition to attending the summit, President Dissanayake will hold bilateral discussions with various diplomats and officials, further strengthening Sri Lanka's diplomatic ties with the UAE. This visit marks a significant step in fostering international cooperation and enhancing Sri Lanka's global presence.
