The Department of Railways has announced that train operations along the upcountry railway line, which were disrupted due to an earthslip between the Ohiya and Idalgasinna railway stations, have now been fully restored.
The disruption, which had caused significant delays to passengers, occurred when an earthslip blocked the tracks, halting train services in the region. However, following prompt efforts by railway authorities and maintenance teams, the affected tracks have now been cleared and restored to full operational capacity.
The Department of Railways expressed gratitude for the patience and cooperation of passengers during the disruption and reassured the public that all services are now running as scheduled.
Passengers are encouraged to check for any updates on train schedules and to plan their journeys accordingly.
