The 2024 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations, originally scheduled to begin earlier, have been postponed due to ongoing adverse weather conditions, according to Amith Jayasundara, the Examinations Commissioner General.
In a statement, Jayasundara explained that the decision was made to ensure the safety and well-being of all candidates across the island. As a result, the A/L exams will now commence on December 4, 2024.
The Examinations Department urged students and their families to stay informed about further updates. The department also reassured the public that all necessary measures will be taken to ensure the smooth conduct of the exams despite the delays.
Candidates are advised to check their exam schedules and centers, as well as to remain updated on any additional announcements related to the postponement.
