The 42nd National Milad-un-Nabi State Celebration will be held on August 26, 2026, at the playground of Al-Hilal Central College in Negombo.
The event is being jointly organized by the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs and the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs.
A media briefing to raise awareness about the upcoming celebration was held today (19) at the auditorium of the Government Information Department.
Deputy Minister of Religious and Cultural Affairs Muneer Mulaffar and Deputy Director of the Department of Muslim Religious and Cultural Affairs Niyamathulla Nilawfer also attended the media briefing.
The annual national celebration is being organized as part of efforts to commemorate Milad-un-Nabi, marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad, and to promote religious and cultural harmony in Sri Lanka.
