US President-elect Donald Trump has begun unveiling key figures for his upcoming administration as he prepares to return to the White House. In a notable move, Trump appointed tech billionaire Elon Musk, owner of 'X,' and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy to lead the newly formed "Department of Government Efficiency."
Trump also announced that Florida Republican Rep. Mike Waltz would be his national security adviser, while Pete Hegseth, a veteran and Fox & Friends Weekend co-host, will serve as secretary of defense. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee has been tapped as the next US ambassador to Israel, and real estate developer Steve Witkoff will take on the role of Special Envoy to the Middle East.
Additionally, veteran Republican lawyer Bill McGinley will serve as White House counsel, with John Ratcliffe selected as CIA director.
