The general election campaign officially ended at midnight on November 11, with election officials confirming that all necessary arrangements have been made for the voting process.

According to the Election Commission, ballot boxes will be transported today (November 12) and tomorrow (November 13) to polling stations across the country, with the elections scheduled to take place tomorrow, November 14.

A total of 13,421 polling centers will be set up for voters, with 8,352 candidates from various political parties and independent groups vying for positions. Although the Election Commission has noted that official ballot papers will not be distributed, voters will still be able to cast their votes by verifying their identities.

In preparation for the election, District Election Officers have confirmed that all necessary logistical arrangements have been finalized, ensuring a smooth voting process.

Special transport services are also being provided for voters in rural areas, facilitating their access to polling stations.

To ensure the safety and security of voters, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Nihal Talduwa announced that a special security program is in place, with a deployment of 60,000 police personnel across the country to maintain order and ensure a peaceful election day.

With the election just a day away, authorities are calling on the public to participate actively and peacefully in the democratic process.
