The Ministry of Public Administration confirms that 27 official residences used by former ministers have been returned to the government. Only one residence remains to be handed over, which belonged to the late State Minister Sanath Nishantha.
The delay is due to issues related to unpaid rent, but the ministry is working to resolve these matters and expects the property to be returned to the government soon.
