Minister Vijitha Herath visited Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) in Colombo to investigate complaints about delays in SriLankan Airlines flights. During his visit, he toured different sections of the airport and spoke with airport staff.
Minister Herath highlighted the importance of setting up a dedicated unit at the airport to represent both BIA and SriLankan Airlines. This unit would be available 24/7 to keep passengers informed about flight delays and offer maximum assistance during such times.
The Minister also instructed relevant authorities to take necessary actions to reduce these delays and improve overall passenger experience.
