The Department of Excise has issued final warnings to liquor manufacturers with unpaid taxes, requiring them to settle by November 30.
Nearly 10 companies owe a total of Rs. 8.5 billion, with around Rs. 1.8 billion from the 2023-2024 period alone. The Department has stated that companies failing to pay by the deadline may face legal action.
