SriLankan Airlines has announced the cancellation of Flight UL-604, which was scheduled to depart from Katunayake International Airport at 12:30 AM today, for Melbourne, Australia. The cancellation was caused by a technical fault with the aircraft.
In response to the disruption, SriLankan Airlines has arranged alternative travel options for affected passengers. The airline's Corporate Communications Head, Mr. Deepal Perera, confirmed that steps have been taken to ensure passengers reach their destination as quickly as possible.
"Despite the technical issues, we are committed to ensuring the safe and timely travel of our passengers. Those who were scheduled to fly today will be accommodated on a rescheduled flight, which will depart at 12:30 AM tomorrow, October 10," Mr. Perera said.
