Wind speed will be (20-30) kmph and wind speed can be increase up to 40 kmph in the sea areas extending from Puttalam to Trincomalee via Kankasanthurai and wind speed can be increase up to (45-50) kmph in the sea areas extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara. |

The sea areas off the coasts extending from Galle to Hambantota via Matara can be fairly rough at times. Other sea areas around the island will be slight to moderate. Temporarily strong gusty winds and very rough seas can be expected during thundershowers. |
