Thereupon, his predecessor, Rear Admiral Thushara Karunathunga handed over the duties and responsibilities of the appointment to the newly appointed Acting Area Commander.
Sri Lanka NavyConcluding the proceedings of the event, senior officers of the Southeastern Naval Command congratulated the outgoing Commander appreciative of his tenure. Following naval traditions, he was given a formal farewell with precision before his departure from the Command.
