A young woman and 21 individuals have been arrested following a police raid on a hostel hosting a birthday party in the Raskinduwa area.
Authorities responded to complaints from local residents regarding loud DJ music and disruptive behavior.
The raid, conducted by the Panadura North Police, resulted in the apprehension of suspects aged between 20 and 30.
During the operation, law enforcement also discovered a substance known as "Ash" in the possession of 19 of the arrested individuals.
The police emphasized that the gathering not only violated noise regulations but also posed potential risks to public safety. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to address the concerns of the local community.
