The Department of Posts announced that secure packets with official postal ballots for Colombo and Vanni districts will start being distributed today (October 26).
The distribution of the Colombo and Vanni District secured packets, previously delayed due to legal matters, were handed over to district returning officers yesterday (October 25), according to the Election Commission.
The Commissioner General of Elections confirmed that postal voting in these districts will occur on October 30, November 1, and November 4.
In total, 738,002 postal voters are eligible for the 2024 General Election.
