Sri Lankan authorities have arrested three individuals following intelligence reports about potential security threats targeting Israeli nationals, according to Public Security Minister Vijitha Herath. Speaking at a press conference today (October 24), Minister Herath reassured both locals and foreigners that there is no need for concern, as all necessary security measures are in place to prevent any attacks.
He further emphasized that normalcy will be restored soon, leading to the lifting of travel advisories issued by the United States and other countries. "These nations are already confident in the safety measures we've implemented, and they trust sending their citizens here," he said.
The minister also noted that tourist arrivals remain unaffected, with Israeli visitors continuing to enter Sri Lanka without any problems. "Tourists currently in the country are enjoying their travels without any disruptions, and we've successfully managed the situation," he added.
