The Commissioner General of Elections has announced that October 27 and November 3 will be designated as special days for the distribution of official polling cards for the upcoming general election.
Speaking to the media today (October 23), he stated that polling cards will be handed over to the Department of Posts on October 26.
The issuing of postal polling cards, is already underway at district secretariats across the island, with 759,210 postal voting applications received, of which 21,160 were rejected. A total of 738,050 postal polling cards will be issued, marking an increase from the last presidential election.
