A serious head-on collision occurred this afternoon near the Dewrum Pitiya bend, involving two private passenger buses. The incident has left approximately 28 individuals injured, prompting their immediate transfer to the Avissawella Base Hospital for treatment.
Emergency services reported that three of the injured are in critical condition. The buses involved were traveling from Colombo to Embilipitiya and from Ratnapura to Colombo at the time of the accident.
