The Sri Lankan Embassy in Beirut confirmed that no Sri Lankans were impacted by recent Israeli airstrikes in southern Lebanon.
Ambassador-designate Kapila Jayaweera assured that all Sri Lankans in the country are safe, with 15 currently in safety camps. He stated that all necessary precautions had been taken to protect them.
Israel carried out at least a dozen air strikes on Beirut on Saturday and this follows Israel’s heaviest airstrikes on Beirut in over a week.
