The National Dengue Control Unit announced special dengue control programs in the Western, Northern, and Eastern provinces on October 24, 25, and 26.
Dr. Lahiru Kodithuvakku, a Community Medical Specialist, stated that the programs will focus on flood-affected areas.
This year, Sri Lanka has reported 41,128 dengue cases, with the Western Province recording the highest number (17,472). Additionally, 20 dengue-related deaths have been reported so far.
