The Election Commission has announced that the preference numbers for candidates contesting the upcoming general election will be available today (October 16) at district secretariat offices.
The Commissioner General of Elections confirmed that all district preference lists have been received, verified, and sent to the respective district secretariats. Additionally, the minimum expenditure allowed for each candidate will be published in the Government Gazette today.
The commission has also scheduled a meeting with ministry secretaries and heads of corporations and boards today to discuss the implementation of election-related directives.
