The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a diesel subsidy of Rs. 25 per litre for fishermen, with a maximum of Rs. 300,000 per month for six months, according to Cabinet Spokesman Vijitha Herath.
Additionally, a Rs. 15 per litre subsidy for kerosene has been approved for fishermen using kerosene as fuel. This support aims to alleviate the financial burden on the fishing community.
