President Dissanayake has instructed the officials of the Ministry of Finance to provide the monthly interim allowance of Rs 3000 to all pensioners from next week.

After looking into the fact that the interim allowance of 3000 rupees was not added to the October pension, the President has also instructed the officials to credit the amount to the accounts of the pensioners within the next week.

These instructions were given during the discussion held yesterday with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and senior officials of the Ministry of Finance at the President's Office.

Although State Administration Circular No. 02/2024 dated 24/08/2024 has been issued to provide a monthly interim allowance of 3000 rupees to all pensioners, no money has been allocated for the same.

The president took steps to provide the interim allowance of 3000 rupees from this month, despite the difficulties faced by the pensioners due to the non-receipt of the interim allowance of 3000 rupees along with the pension of October 2024 and the state's financial difficulties in which their request is being considered.

Since the pension for the month of October has already been sent to the account of the pensioners, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake instructed the officials to credit the 3000 rupees allowance for the month of October to their accounts in the next week and to add the 3000 rupees allowance to the pension from next month. has been given
