The Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID), DIG Rohan Premaratne, has been reassigned to serve as the DIG for Western Province (North).
In his place, DIG P. Ampavila has been transferred to head the CID Range as its new DIG.
Previously, DIG Ampavila was stationed at Police Headquarters, where he was responsible for handling investigations concerning money laundering, pyramid schemes, and virtual currencies.
These transfers have been approved by the National Police Commission.
