United National Party Deputy Leader Ruwan Wijewardena says Former President Ranil Wickremesinghe will not run for any election again,

He also stated that he will not come again for the National List MP currently held by the UNP.

He mentioned that Vajira Abeywardena will continue to hold the position of MP.

Mr. Ranil Wickramasinghe has stated that he will not run for re-election in the meeting with the representatives of the UNP Working Committee.

However, former President Ranil Wickramasinghe has stated that he is ready to give any support to the existing government at any time.
