The Supreme Court, in a majority decision, has dismissed the contempt of court application filed against former State Minister Diana Gamage.
Rehan Jayawickrema, the former Chairman of the Weligama Urban Council, had filed the application, alleging that Gamage committed contempt of court through statements made at a media conference on May 9 this year.
The Supreme Court three-judge bench comprised Justices Preethi Padman Surasena, Yasantha Kodagoda, and Shiran Goonaratne.
