A 43-year-old man was arrested with two T-56 assault rifles during a search operation by the Police Special Task Force in Aralaganwila.
The suspect, a resident of Ottamavadi, was arrested based on information from Army Intelligence.
He was found in possession of two T-56 rifles, two magazines, 60 rounds of ammunition, a pair of binoculars, and a sword.
The suspect has been handed over to the Terrorism Investigation Division for further investigation.
