The All-Island Three-Wheeler Drivers’ Association has announced a reduction in three-wheeler fares within the Western Province, effective from tomorrow (15th July).

At a press conference held today (14th July), Lalith Dharmasekara, President of the Association, stated that the fare per kilometre will be reduced by Rs. 10. As a result, the fare for the second kilometre onwards will be Rs. 80, while the fare for the first kilometre will remain at Rs. 100.

Dharmasekara also mentioned that a 15% surcharge will continue to apply between 10:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.

He further assured passengers that they can file complaints with the police, the Consumer Affairs Authority, or the Road Passenger Transport Authority if they encounter any issues, provided they have the necessary information.
