The Court of Appeal has decided to hear the writ petition filed by former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella on July 1st, following an order issued today.
Rambukwella's petition challenges a previous ruling by the Maligakanda Magistrate’s Court, which remanded him until the conclusion of his trial related to the procurement of substandard human intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) vials.
During today's proceedings on June 27th, Deputy Solicitor General Nirmalan Wigneswaran represented the Attorney General's office and presented arguments before the Court of Appeal.
