A discussion between the president's senior advisor on climate change, Mr. Ruwan Wijewardene, and the Director of Asia and Oceania at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Benoit Guidee, was held yesterday 24) at the President Secretariat.
During the discussion, Mr. Benoit Guidee mentioned that France is willing to give expertise and full support to the climate change university.
Also mentioned is how important it is to align the agendas of the two presidents towards climate change. Mr. Benoit Guidee appraised the tough reforms that were not formulated earlier but what President Ranil Wickramasinghe has taken place to get the country back on its feet.
