The new draft constitution for the Sri Lanka Cricket Board was officially handed over to President Ranil Wickremesinghe at the Presidential Secretariat today. 

The President’s Media Division highlighted key recommendations within the draft constitution, focusing on several critical areas aimed at revitalizing Sri Lanka's cricket infrastructure. 

Among the key proposals are measures to enhance the administrative framework of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board, ensuring more transparent and efficient governance. 

Furthermore, the draft suggests new initiatives to elevate training standards for both the national men's and women's teams, aimed at enhancing their competitiveness on the international stage.

Strategies to improve the overall well-being of players, encompassing physical health, mental health, and career development, were also emphasized. 

The draft also includes a comprehensive restructuring of the Sri Lanka Cricket Board to better align with contemporary governance practices and international standards.
