The Sri Lanka Railway Locomotive Operating Engineers' Union has announced the end of its strike action.
This decision came after a successful discussion with the Minister of Transport, Bandula Gunawardena, as reported by Ada Derana.
The union had initiated the strike at midnight on Thursday, June 6th, protesting delays in second-class promotions for locomotive drivers and other unresolved issues.
Despite the union's grievances, officials from the Department of Railways maintained that they had already implemented all feasible solutions to address these concerns.
