Police said that two individuals have died following a collision between their car and a Colombo-bound train from Badulla at the Enderamulla railway crossing this morning (08).
The incident occurred as the car, traveling from Enderamulla to Wattala, attempted to cross despite warning signals of the approaching train. The victims, a 54-year-old man from Biyagama and a 34-year-old woman employed in the private sector in Colombo, lost their lives in the crash.
Enderamulla Police is conducting further investigations.
