The Disaster Management Centre (DMC) reports that adverse weather conditions have impacted 253,581 individuals from 66,906 families across thirteen districts.
The affected districts include Ratnapura, Colombo, Kegalle, Kandy, Galle, Kalutara, Matara, Puttalam, Kurunegala, Hambantota, Nuwara Eliya, Kilinochchi, and Gampaha.
In addition to the human toll, the severe weather has caused substantial property damage. A total of 4,303 houses have been partially damaged, while 42 houses have been completely destroyed.
The death toll resulting from the inclement weather has reached 30 as of today (05). Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide assistance to those in need.
