The Railway Department has announced significant disruptions to train services on the main line due to signal failures between Pallewela and Ganegoda stations as well as between Veyangoda and Gampaha stations.

These signal issues have caused delays for passengers traveling on this route.

In addition to the main line disruptions, Sri Lanka Railways reported that trains on the Kelani Valley line will now terminate at Waga. This change is due to the collapse of a bridge, which has rendered the continuation of services beyond Waga impossible for the time being.

Efforts to address and rectify these issues are underway, and the Railway Department has advised passengers to stay informed about updates and changes to the train schedule
