The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has arrested a 36-year-old suspect in connection with the arson incident targeting President Ranil Wickremesinghe's private residence on July 9, 2022.
Identified as a resident of Kiranthidiya and working as a teacher, the suspect is slated to appear before the Fort Magistrate's Court for further legal proceedings.
So far more than 25 suspects have been arrested in connection with setting fire to President's residence.
