Eight people were hospitalized after a section of a 'Well Of Death' setup in Divulapelessa, Girandurukotte, collapsed on Thursday night.
The incident occurred as spectators were heading to the observation platform before the show began.
The 'Well Of Death' was part of a carnival at Rotalawala Mahawelia Grounds. The injured individuals are receiving treatment at Girandurukotte and Mahiyanganaya hospitals.
