The Colombo District Court has issued an enjoining order preventing Minister Wijeyadasa Rajapakshe PC and Attorney-at-Law Keerthi Udawatta from serving as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Chairman and Acting General Secretary, respectively.
This order was made by Judge Sandun Vithana following a plaint filed by SLFP parliamentarian Duminda Dissanayake.
Chandaka Jayasundara PC, along with Counsel Amila E. Dissanayake, represented the plaintiff. Romesh De Silva PC appeared for Minister Rajapakshe, while Kuvera de Zoysa PC appeared for Keerthi Udawatta. Additionally, Shaheed Barrie represented Nimal Siripala de Silva, and Pulasthi Rupasinghe represented Mahinda Amaraweera.
